Celebrating a ten-year milestone with a rebrand.

Kate from Ryan’s Daughter is a talented photographer based in the Waikato who specialises in family, commercial, and wedding photography. As she approached her ten-year business anniversary, she sought a rebrand to celebrate this milestone.

What makes Kate's photography truly exceptional is her ability to weave captivating stories through her lens, creating lasting memories for her clients. She pours a lot of herself into her work and prides herself on her artisanal approach to photography.

To reflect her personal touch, we embarked on a design journey inspired by everything that makes Kate’s approach unique, even down to a monogram inspired by the art deco leadlight windows in her home - something that inspires her to create every day.

A pain point for Kate was the length of her brand name and the need for her branding to be versatile across print, web and social media. We worked on a logo that could be used across all platforms, granting her the freedom to showcase her brand without constraints. We also explored a unique colour palette to play with to set her brand apart, as a lot of competing brands play it safe with the use of black and white.

Through this distinctive branding approach, our aim was to capture the essence of storytelling that defines Kate's photography. Every element of her brand has been thoughtfully tailored to reflect the personalised approach that sets her apart.
